Our Story

Christina’s Greek American Kitchen started as a food truck and has grown into a welcoming home for authentic Greek food in Glastonbury, CT. But at the heart of it all is something much simpler: our story.

We are Christina and Dimitri Togias. Christina, a first-generation Greek-American, was born and raised in Hartford, CT. Dimitri hails from Karystos, a town on the island of Evia, Greece. Our mission is to share our passion, knowledge, and culture through our love for cooking.

At Christina’s, we embody the Greek concept of Filoxenia (“love of strangers”). From Filoxenia stems Filotimo, a deep-rooted Greek value signifying hospitality and a desire to make others feel welcomed. This spirit is at the heart of Christina’s: Fresh, Fun, Filotimo.

When you visit us, we want you to feel like you’re stepping into the backyard of a close friend. Expect smiling faces, warm greetings, and the aroma of delicious food. There’s no rush here, no urgency to flip tables. Step right up, enjoy your meal, and hang out with us. Simply put, savor your time while having a fresh meal.

Come visit us at our kitchen in Glastonbury or find us on the road with our food truck. However you experience Christina’s, we’re excited to share our food and hospitality with you.
